Welcome to Queerly EmbodiedRadical, queer somatic therapy. Queerly Embodied Newsletter My journey to becoming a somatic therapist hasn’t been linear. As a trans, non-binary person, I initially struggled with the idea of embodiment because, let’s face it, being in a body that felt dysphoric was beyond difficult. I felt unseen in a lot of typical somatic approaches because I felt like they didn’t understand my lived experience of being in a queer, trans body. It took awhile for me to realize that my resistance to somatic therapy wasn’t because there was something inherently wrong with me, but because I didn’t know how somatic therapy could see and support me me in my queer, trans body. Queerly Embodied is a chance for me to share topics related to queer embodiment, celebrate trans joy and gender euphoria, and name the very real systemic issues that impact how queer folx feel about our bodies. This will also be a space to generate community around somatic therapy and embodiment for queer and trans folx. Email Address Sign Up I respect your privacy.
