Therapy for healers
Being a healer is beautiful and tiring work. It can be hard to find spaces that hold you - the person behind the work you do - and provide you a space to process everything you’re holding for everyone else.
When I was first learning how to be a therapist, I felt so many feelings, and I remember finding it difficult to know if there was a therapeutic space where I could bring in everything I was experiencing, not feel judged, and be able to talk about the unique and sometimes challenging experience of receiving therapy while being a therapist myself. That is one of many reasons why I decided to specialize in working with other therapists and folx in the healing arts.
I work with folx in the healing arts and provide you a place to let all of your parts feel held. Whether you’re a therapist, coach, guide, or other type of healing practitioner, I’m here so that you have a place to land that’s just yours. I use a lens that combines somatic and IFS informed practices, and collaborate so that the container feels aligned to your needs.
Together, we explore:
The unique stressors of being a healer, including burnout and vicarious trauma
Somatic resourcing practices to hold you and your body in the work that you do
Building awareness of parts and body sensations, and using that awareness to inform your work with others and yourself
IFS informed explorations of your parts that come in during sessions and parts that get pinged in your work with folx
Creating a practice that is supportive and sustainable for you
Tending to burnout and vicarious trauma
